Artist Portraits & Video: Adam Gordon Herd

Adam Gordon Herd is an Australian pianist/arranger/composer living in Helsinki. He wanted some new epic artist portraits to coincide with the launch of his website. We came up with the idea of carrying an old upright piano into the woods and into a swamp to get some photos that are not your traditional classical musician pictures. The old tiffany-style lamp in some of the photos was lit using a flash with orange gels attached–no electricity required! The whole process required a lot of lifting and getting our feet wet, but I would say it was definitely worth it.
