After listening to their vision for the photos, I realized that they would be able to save a significant part of their budget by creating winter landscapes using AI-based image processing tools. After a brief explanation, they eagerly agreed to this solution.

Using these new AI image processing tools, we were able to produce high-quality advertising images for less than 10% of the original photography budget.

The idea behind the car shoot was to photograph the new Lexus NX SUV in a variety of beautiful Finnish landscapes. My goal was to give the images a sense of adventure and a distinct Finnish feel. After doing the requisite location scouting prior to the photo shoot, I picked up the keys to the Lexus NX and had 24 hours to make it happen. We shot car photos in three locations: a stone dock in Helsinki, a field and forest outside of the city, and around old town Porvoo. These were the final images delivered to the client.

Finwatchstraps is a Finnish company that specializes in high-quality handmade straps for vintage and modern watches. They wanted new product photography for their watch straps, which are becoming popular especially among vintage watch enthusiasts. Part of the fun of photographing the straps was trying many different watch+strap combinations and experimenting with various wood- and leather-based backgrounds to create a warm and natural look for the photos.

In addition to providing still images of their products, I partnered with Finwatchstraps to create the above promotional video showcasing the different steps of the strap creation process that takes place in their workshop in Helsinki, Finland.

The goal for this product photography shoot was to highlight the intricate details and deep colors of the basses, showcasing the basses in a style similar to a fine liquor or a luxury watch. We accomplished this by using a dark textured background and dramatic lighting that created areas of shadow, which increases the mysterious feel of the photos.
